Tallaganda: The Rainforests of Mount Cronin

Images from inside the rainforests.

In the moist gorges below Mount Cronin are a series of rainforests, dominated by huge tree ferns, the ancient Dicksonia Antarctica. Waterfalls fill the steeper gullies, pools and bogs fill on flat ledges and lyrebirds dance in abandoned logging camps.

These images are from recent hikes on the Harolds Cross Waterfall Loop and the Mount Cronin Western Rainforest Loop.

These images are so full of atmosphere. Paired with your description they transport me there. It's as if I can hear the Lyrebirds, feel the dampness on my skin and sense the remoteness of this place. The light, the coloring, the stillness, it's breathtaking.
