Olive Whistler (Pachycephala olivacea) - Tallaganda bird life

High in the fern tree forests of the Tallaganda (in one of the unburnt fern tree gullies), we came across a very rare resident of the lower thickets - the Olive Whistler. An unexpectedly large bird, while in shadows we wondered if it was a bower bird. In the open it was clearly a whistler.

Listed as very rare/vulnerable, this  one appeared to be a female. She proceeded to follow us for a hundred meters.
