Orchard Swallowtail and fencing
A large black and white butterfly (Orchard Swallowtail) with a striking show of colors on the underside of wings dropped in to taste the colored leaf geraniums.
The storms have calmed for a couple of days, and the opportunity for outside work beckoned me to join the butterflies.
Preparations for the shearing of Alpacas have occasioned the need for fencing - and all the wire shaping, straining, twitching and sewing that entails. My father and his father would not have approved my fencing technique, but i still find myself trying to meet their high standards.
Not everyone is happy with the outcome.
My work requires close supervision.
