Re-imagining Deep Space Nine

 

It seems a life-time ago that i watched the sci-fi series centered around this space port/city. About 20 years ago i picked up a second-hand kit of the space station, lacking half the parts, and dreamed that one day i would find time to put it together. 

The past week has seen me craft missing pieces from ply wood and adding about 1,000 lights via fiberoptic cables (which are a nightmare to work with) and several light powerplants. Still, there are a couple of hours to go before it is complete, but in the mean-time, i can paint it with light and turn the fiberoptic cables on.
