Mongarlowe River, Upper Reaches Shoalhaven River, Clyde Mountain

The Mongarlowe River is a tributary of the east flowing Shoalhaven River. High on the slopes of Clyde Mountain the creek forms in a dance of small falls down steep drops and, occasionally, flat rock falls.

Impacted by drought and fire, the wet gullies show signs of renewal - including (unexpectedly) mature lace monitors and death adders.
