Scarborough 1264: A Woman Alone

This is one of a series of character studies for the forthcoming film "Scarborough 1264". Abby of York, Health Weaver (Middle English: Helerewif), has travelled to Scarborough for the great fair.

In late 1264, the port of Scarborough in York was preparing for its 45-day fair, but was also about to caught up in the wash of the Second Baron's War. This is one of a series of short studies of the characters involved in the forthcoming film of that time.
