The Lei of Scarborough

 

The port of Scarborough, is itself a main character in the forthcoming series set in Scarborough in the year 1264 - the series name is "A Fair Maiden's Tale". 

At last count, our musicians (Maryan and Beth) have written about 400 pieces of music inspired by the market musician, Sam Hayes' rendition of Scarborough Fair recorded in Whitby in the 19th century.  We will release some of these with the series (and their associated lyrics). 

As part of the release, a lengthy Lei will be released, tracing the history of the town through the rise and fall of empires. Until then, here are some of the scenes from the Lei,
