Catalyst - First Look

With the historical series of Scarborough nearing finality and the first episode off with distributors,  DarkAelf Studios is turning to new projects, including a film adaption of the science fiction novel Catalyst.  A first teaser is now available on YouTube.

First serialized on Google+, Catalyst tells the story of a young boy thrust into a future - and the desperate efforts to retrieve him.  The story starts in the harsh Australian outback, near the rocket range of Woomera at the abandoned US Deep Space 41 sitting on the edge of a salt lake "Island Lagoon".

"Ok, it is time to reveal the truth. Please, sit down. This will take time.

I am a time traveler. I come from the last half of the twentieth century, October 1975 to be precise. But the link between me and Mission Control is faulty and they keep losing track of me. I can’t get back. The future keeps changing..."

Be careful for what you wish. This is a story about 1975 and heart-lines, time travel and the fall of kings, but mainly about the elven-path.

Yay! Another blogger I can constructively "waste" my time reading. Your book is in my Amozon basket btw and I'm looking forward to reading it. Steve Watson

Hi Steve - thanks for the contact. Catalyst was written in the old days of GooglePlus, a new part each night over a couple of months (in threaded style) - and then reworked with the US artist CR Bravo into its final, more linear, form. DarkAelf is presently preparing the screenplay and hunting for voice actors - but we are also having fun imaging scenes with the character Shalaye - and slowly building the backstory and background sets :)
