Yacht - De Havilland Rambler - sail dimensions

The De Havilland Rambler is a "Standard Trailable Yacht".

It is a conventional Bermudian with an aluminum mast (21ft - 6.4m) with 4 side stays. Originally, it was supplied with four sails:
1. Mainsail 126 sq ft (11.7m4)
2. Genoa 77 sq ft (7.2m4)
3. No 2 jib 51 sq ft (4.7m4) (optional)
4. Storm jib 35 sq ft (3.3m4).

Recently, another owner asked for detailed information about the sails my boat is currently fitted with.  Mine are not the original - they were replaced in a refit, perhaps 25 years ago.

Measuring sails is not a simple matter of measuring the sides. Sails are three dimensional in nature - and defy simple attempts at measurement. Instead, a sail is measured at specific points to enable a sailmaker to recreate the required kit.  All the below measurements are in centimeters, were taken on flat mowed grass (rather than a perfectly flat surface), and are probably just a useful starting point for a proper CDF analysis of optimal size and design.
